Just a thing i wanna tell y'all!

...a thing that like... REALLY bothers me
How come the lastes user which registers here
comment on the download section???
i mean..
i have a feeling that you guys only login here to download eng sub videos which whitney posted
and then you guys go again waiting for new vids..
some of them only have 1 posts...
and it really pisses me off
this forum SUCKS!
just because the main admins,mods and so on
aren't online doesnt mean you guys also have to be inactive..

i just made a poll, gonna test you guys
but i think no one will read this because the forum is ALREADY dead!
this forum is about KPOP!!
like.. the MAIN kpop!!
you can talk about EVERYONE here
there are no rules you have to follow like
please only talk about big bang here, no mentioning about other celebs!
and about antis too, ok you dont have to talk about them if you dont like it
(many people are like that) but that doesnt mean you shouldnt register and spazz about news coming from ALL artists

not for being mean or something but this forum looks boring.
the banner is out of the place it supposed to be on and the colours doesn't fit..
you should actually redo the design, just to make it catchy/cool/cute.
i'm not saying that the design is ugly, but it's boring and if the viewers find it boring
they'll find that this forum is boring too. look at example allkpop.
allkpop is a site just as popseoul and soulbeats! but the design is hundred times better than PS and SB! so people will think that allkpop is better (so do i).

We changed it many times..but really i have created a invision and i don't know how to handle with it.
i can change the bg but first we need some ideas that's why we created a topic=)

Maybe something less colorful? i feel like the background is really distracting on the eyes? I'm not trying to be mean.... I'm okay with the banner...it's just the background >.<

okay so personally i think that:

- The colours is going to match!
seriously, there's 100 colours here (not being mean)

- for kpop forums like this one, the colour should be blue-white
or red-gray-black.

- For the background, make a logo. Like soshified.
it was so cute and the idea was great!

- Make a main font.
Soshified had the Gee font, Use Zekton or whatever it comes to ur mind!

- Make a banner that makes sense, because.. this
banner doesn't make sense at all. it's just a little splat and a cool design.

- take away the roller (or annoucement thingie)

I can handle it...but many people are complaining (they even send me PMs)
I said if you don't like it here because of the banner of the BG just go...not everything is what you want...allkpop is diffrent and is not comparing with us (what ayumi made a mistake...) we are bringing news but people don't even look at it...kith is on vacation so she's absent..

I just wanted ideas...I didn't ask 'What should be gone?' or 'What should i change it, to look more like a other site'. You know we do our best to make the forum good and prettier...but what all we get is complaining or not even saying that the bg is pretty or the banner we made...NO all the people here are only for downloads...look at other members...they have 1 post and guess what? that post is only posted on the downloads area and never come back again. to be honest, the first reason why I joined this forum was to download a video.
google gave me a link and it led me here.
I'm sorry if I'm one of those members who came to this site to download..
but I think alot of people first register to forums for that reason (you can't help that)
so it's up to forum leaders to try and make the forum more "welcoming" and interesting to give members a reason to stay..


I know you just want ideas and don't want criticisms..
but it's good to have criticisms first...because from them we can come up with great ideas...
so I hope no one takes anything I say to heart..I'm just here to give good criticisms and ideas to help this forum..

it's a good idea that you put a password on the download section because it gives more reason for new members to go around and comment..
instead of jumping straight into the download section
hmm.. so it's less work for you.. check if the forum provider has a type of "blocking" program or option
for example, the download section won't appear until a member has made 20 posts or something..
I've seen this in a forum longgggg time ago..maybe your forum provider has it too..


I know the previous comments above already mentioned about the background and banner..
but I'll just re-list them and other things that we may want to take into consideration..

-banner
it's a good and cool design... but I feel like it's just jumping at me (for me, the pink is a little too much ^_^;; sorry but that's me hehe)
maybe you can ask members what they want to see...
maybe they want to see an artist featured on it or they prefer certain colours
it's good to seek members' opinions because they're the ones who'll be roaming around this forum anyway, right?

-background
for me the back ground is ok..not a really big problem..
except I feel like it's just jumping at me too..it's trying to grab my attention while I'm trying to focus on typing this post...hehe
I think it's because there's a lot of things happening..lots of pictures that stand out @_@ hehe
maybe if you make the background/pictures a little more transparent or lighter.. it'll lessen the boldness of the pictures and it won't make the pictures stand out too much

-colours of the forum
maybe have 3 or 4 colours as the main colours of the forum...
because right now I can see lime green, dark grey, dark pink, light pink and orange..
they're all great looking colours but they're strong colours that stand out too much..
I feel that they're trying to overpower each other and they're just jumping out trying to grab my attention :S
you can have some vibrant colour(s) but there should be simple colours/shades that balances things out..
like white or a light shade of the colour..

-using symbols >> ~*+
ask members if it's ok with them..
because I've read before that symbols like those and "WrItInG lIkE tHiS" can turn people off..
either they find it annoying or childish that they don't want to see it again...or ye...
so just just ask how members feel about it

-the roller announcement
it's good to have one because it helps keep members updated
but maybe put more positive updates... and avoid putting negative ones on it..
because right now it has:
"This is definitely dead" is big font (bigger than the other important updates)
it may be turning members off.
or like Teayeon, it maybe be causing other members' computer to lag too or even freeze...
so ask members if it helps them or causes problems for them...

-reason for this forum
I've been looking around and up until now I'm still unsure about the reason of this forum..hehe^_^;; sorry
maybe in your introduction section give a short explanation of the purpose of this forum..
there's a lot of other forums that are similar to your so "what makes you different from them?"

because there isn't a lot of topics of artists..hehe
maybe having more topics about other artists will get members interested and stuff...

it'll help admins make a better looking, a more structured and a more appealing forum for the members.

Kpopsites can't be officicial =( Maybe if htere are more members? But still it can't be official like Soshified.
I've to disguss with Ayumi over the bg and the colors cos the colors has to fit with the bg (and ayumi thinks that light color like green&pink is barbisch O.o)

this forum is a free made forum
its not like any other ''official'' forum
or fanforums such as cassies and soshified
those forums were made in totally different and much more safe sites
like IP.Board & Lo-Fi...

you can make really bgs there
you can add and delete things there
you can even stylize(?) new things and add it
since im always on soshified, i noticed a lot of things
you can choose an fave members(person, everything) when u first register
you can answer a question
you can do this all and blablabla..
you can make the forum larger
and the best thing you can do there is
MULTIPLE SKINS!!

anyway, i really don't have much to complain about the forum except in the male and female's groups forums...thingie that it's a little empty. there are definitely way more other groups than the ones currently present in the fourms now. i would create multiple threads, but sadly, i don't have any pics...

I know what you mean...but all the topics from the female/male...those are created by me...I don't get any help from the other members, i just did everything myself, including the downloads.
And i hate it if members doesn't read the rules of the download section, they just ignore the rules. Like i said in the topic i'll delete your comments if you haven't read the rules. And if you comment and you download..it doesn't help you with anything, cos you need a password on that file, but some members dont know that and PM me...im sorry to say this...but some members here are really dumb while the answer is in the rules. I may be harsh but it's the truth right? I made the rules and no one reads it?

Yeah sad they dont have a quick replyT_T
I created an ivisionfree...and after a hour, i was confused by all those codes..and there aren't simple like here, so you have to be a genius to know all these codes and here is it simple or advanced.
It's boring because many members don't visit anymore...only for the downloads, that's why i created a password on it. We give downloads, news of kpop, what more do the others want? Free money?

they ignore my rules and don't want to have 20 posts so they PM me....
some people are just hypocrite...and thats my conclusion.

Well, I think you need to look at the fact that the site is just getting started.
It takes a while for things to kick off (I run my own website, so I know!).
It's relatively well organized, the download thing is what most forums have in place, so it shouldn't be surprising to new or old members. It was a good move.
But at the same time, like someone said before, the download links is often what attract people to the forum. So you need to have something to make them stay. Contests are a good idea. I also like how it's like sub forums for different artists.
The only think that could be improved upon is the activity level of the site, and that only comes with time.
Overall, I think it's going in the right direction.
